Hey kids! Sorry for the delay. I'm not very good at this yet…if you couldn't tell. I have been busy with my travels (again) but I did make this amazing video as a tribute to my rather brief stint on the Bachelor. I wanted to show the world that you can make fun of someone and still be funny rather than hurtful. And so I give you the Bachelor Reject Anthem "Ess Okay" by your favorite free spirit: ME! All 100% original music and lyrics. Let me know what you think!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Sorry for the delay in posts but I have been traveling again. I am headed off to Miami tonight and I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very happy Valentine's Day! I really enjoy making videos and want to share a video I made for Valentine's Day two years ago in Miami. Let me know what you think! Stay groovy!

If you could have any superpower...

I know. A lot of people on the internet think I'm weird because I wrote "free spirit" as my job title for the Bachelor. First I'd like to say thank you to all of those people for that tremendous compliment. I would rather be called weird than normal any day! Sadly, I am not the unemployed freak that people make me out to be. I do have a job. However, I don't think it's important to talk about it. For whatever reason, it has become customary that, when meeting someone for the first time, you ask them the following questions:

1) where are you from?

2) what do you do for a living?

3) where did you go to college?

If you ask me these questions, you are going to think that I am the most boring person in the world. If I ask you these questions, you will give me the same mundane answers you have been giving your entire life and I will easily forget about you. I am more interested in the things that make you YOU, like where you have been and what you have done that makes you unique. So when I meet someone, I usually like to ask the following three questions:

1) if you could have any superpower what would it be?

2) have you ever been in love?

3) where is your favorite place on Earth?

Not only will people be surprised, they will be excited about answering questions that they weren't expecting. You will be about to see them think on the spot and learn something new about them. Try it out and me know what you think!

Don't date a girl who travels

Earlier this week, somebody on twitter sent me a link to an essay entitled "Don't Date a Girl Who Travels". I have never read anything that more aptly describes me in my life and I wanted to share it. Often times when I find articles like this one I get this feeling that somebody has been watching me and wrote it just for me. I secretly hope that that person will come across my blog and know that I read their writing and that I appreciate it. See link below.

Follow the girl who doesn't know where she's going

You know me. I am the free spirit from the Bachelor. The one who is always laughing or thinking. I am the girl who sweats the ocean and leaves a trail of sand wherever I go. I always show up with wet hair and no make up because I know that all I really need to look good is a smile. I'm not sun kissed, I kissed the sun. I grew my own roses before a man ever gave me one. I have cool scars and even cooler stories of how I got them. I don't have any tan lines and I have more passport stamps than shoes. I always smell like vacation and I believe that there is no better feeling in the world than being naked in nature. I believe in love. I believe in adventure. I believe in possibilities. My name is Lucy and this is my blog.
